This set is an opulent version and the 32 fine solid pewter chess pieces are plated with 22 carat gold and sterling silver (placed on solid brass pedestals, embellished with a band of red or blue enamel) are authentic portrait sculptures designed by the distinguished military artist Philip J.

Condition report the chess set is in clean pristine condition, the cabinet too but there are some light cosmetic marks on the playing surface, and there is a slight dent on 1 side of the frame not obvious other than nice on display.
