Franklin Mint Genius of Michelangelo Proof Silver Medals (60). This set was produced by the Franklin Mint in 1975 to celebrate the 500. Anniversary of the birth of the Florentine sculptor Michelangelo. It consists of 60 silver medals depicting the works of Michelangelo. Each medal is 44mm in diameter, contains 1.25 troy ounces of sterling silver and is struck in a proof finish with deep mirrored fields and a frosty obverse.

The collection is housed in a large, heavy-duty book that measures 15" x 12" x 3 and weighs 14 pounds. There are six pages that hold the medals with each page focusing on a certain type of Michelangelo's sculptures. This set offered for sale is in mint condition.
