VINTAGE FRANKLIN MINT" WATERLOO" CHESS SET GOLD & SILVER EDITION+ORIG BOARD 1987. THE BATTLE OF WATERLOO CHESS SET BY FRANKLIN MINT AND "WATERLOO MUSEUM". This impressive chess set was issued, by subscription only, by the Waterloo Museum through the Franklin Mint in 1987. On the 4 corners there are the French and British Empire emblems gold plated and on the 4 side there are coats of arms , the playing surface is made from a single sheet of metal and impressed there is the map of the Waterloo battle fields in the middle there are the coat of arms in red & blue enamel, with blue enamel pattern on the perimeter, is an impressive chess cabinet. Full size is 37.5 cm x 37.5 cm, across the play area 28.4 cm x 28,4 cm and each square is 32 mm.

Each piece is individually crafted and represent a different character. The set is in clean condition but there some cosmetic marks and sign. It range from 40 mm pawns to 60 mm king.
