Vintage Civil War History 999 Fine Silver Rounds Medals 40ct. International Buyers & Canada Please Note. THIS IS A SET OF 40.This is a group of Franklin Mint. 999 pure silver medals/rounds produced in the 1970s. This is the "History of the Civil War" series. Each medal has an image of an event or events that depict the battles that shaped and ultimately ended the Civil War. They are marked on the edge 999 F S and are a "known" product to us in the industry. There are 40 different rounds. Some are attractively toned with blue and magenta color. Each one weighs between 25 & 26 grams, so it's a little over eight tenths of an ounce (0.82) in each one.
That's about 32.8 troy ounces of 999 pure silver. The whole lot weighs 32.93 ounces. I have not found any of these 40 piece sets available anywhere else, so it may be that a complete set is pretty scarce. Many traders tend to melt this stuff at times. We are PCGS, NGC & CAC Authorized Dealers and GIA Qualified Diamond graders.
