925 sterling silver medals struck by the Franklin Mint. Comprised of two books, each containing a first edition proof set in solid sterling silver. The set was issued to commemorate the most influential men and women of the period. Each book contains 10 medals. Some of the patriots' names are Helen Keller, Douglas MacArthur, Harry Truman, John F. Kennedy, Robert Frost, Tom Dooley, Martin Luther King and Louis Armstrong. Descriptive plaques on each with detailed biographical info.

This set is identical to those displayed at the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge. Each medal is 38 millimeters in diameter. The sterling silver weight of each medal is 32.4 grams. Each medal is incased in a 5X7 hardboard plaque. All are in nice condition, minor rubbed spot on one of the cases.
