Based on a scene from the Sistine Chapel. One of a series of 60 designs issued 1970-75, by engraver Piero Monassi of Italy, depicting the works of Michelangelo, celebrating his 500th birthday. Approximately 1.3 troy oz. Uncirculated in original sealed packaging with paperwork; envelope dated 1975; minor creasing on paperwork that shows a partial outline of the medal.
