In 1978 the Franklin Mint issued "The Official Gem-Ingots" as a limited edition set of Sterling Silver Ingots with an actual Gem Inset within each ingot. There are 30 in all contained within a locking black leather case, each one represents a famous jeweler. The case has some WEAR due to aging such, but the ingots are in very good condition.
Each ingot represents a famous jeweler in countries around the world, and is inset with an actual gemstone. This is one of the few Franklin Mint sets that comes in a leather display case.
This set is considered to be a favorite for overall attractiveness among all of the Franklin Mint ingot sets.
