It is literally brand new!! You can also see the untouched paperwork documentation which holds the Certificate of Authenticity and Owners Manual with all the cars features.

Once these pictures were taken, the outer box was resealed. This is the HOLY GRAIL of the L88 Connoisseurs Series releases!

Most of the colors released were limited to 427 pieces for the 427 cubic inch engine of course! , but only 99 of the silver edition were made worldwide! FEATURES OF THE 1967 CHEVROLET CORVETTE STINGRAY L88 CONNOISSEURS SERIES.

Main Power On/Off Switch: Located on the drivers side, when the switch is on, will power the headlights, high beams, taillights , instrument panel lights, brake lights, horn, ignition and motor sounds (requires 3 AAA batteries)! Lights: The Corvette's headlights, high beams, taillights , instrument panel lights and brake lights all work (Instructions on how to make each one work are in the owners manual)! Sounds: The horn, ignition and motor all work and make sounds (Instructions on how to make each one work are in the owners manual)! Doors and Windows: The doors on the Corvette both open using the door handle release button (Franklin Mint sends a tool to push the small button). The windows actually open using the crank handle located on the door, and the vent windows on each door tilt open and close!

Rear Hatch: The rear hatch opens to reveal the convertible soft top (Note - the soft top does NOT function and is fixed to the model)! Hood and Engine Compartment: The hood opens just like on the real Corvette to reveal the extremely detailed L88 427 cubic inch monster! The engine fan actually spins and the air cleaner assembly can be removed to view the carburetor and engine block! Steering Wheel: The steering wheel functions to turn the front wheels to a full turning angle left and right!

Roof: The model comes with a separate Hardtop that can be set in place on the vehicle! Wheels: The perfectly accurate rubber wheels can actually be removed to view the detailed brake assembly!

Suspension: They actually went as far as creating a working suspension on the model. By pressing down on the back of the model, it lowers approximately 1/4, then raises back up when released! Other Features: The seats are real leather covered and the seat backs fold down, the parking brake lever moves, the ashtray lid slides open and closed, the sun visors move up and down, the glove box opens, you can see the drive shaft rotate by inverting the model into the holding tray and spinning the back tires, and the gas cap lid opens and closes (the actual gas cap is not removable)!
