Franklin Mint 1974 Special Commemorative Issues Proof Silver Medals (36). From 1970 through 1976 the Franklin Mint minted each year a series of medals to commemorate major historical events and anniversaries. For 1974 there are 36 commemorative medals. Each medal is 39mm in diameter, made of Sterling Silver and struck in a full proof finish.

Each medal contains 0.82 troy ounces of Sterling Siver with a total collection weight of 29.5 troy ounces. All the medals offered here are flawless, with mirror-like fields and no toning.

The medals are stored in a large hard cover book with each medal enclosed in a protective plastic shell. Also included is a booklet with historical descriptions of each medal.
