These are 13 wonderful collectable vintage "First Ladies" Presidential 24 Karat Gold Plated (over Sterling Silver) Miniature Plates. Issued by the Franklin Mint in 1980.

Each of these finely detailed miniature plates bears an authentic, sculptured, bas-relief portrait of one of the First Ladies of the U. Each gold vermiel, 24KT gold electroplated on sterling silver plate, bears an accurate "speaking" likeness of one of the First Ladies, set within an elegant sculptured border of her native State's official flower. Each border varies with the portrait.

They each weigh 10.44 grams and measure 1 1/2 (39mm) and are in good vintage condition. A few have slight tarnishing from age. These beautiful plates represent the wonderful "Women" behind/beside the "President of the United States".
