This is the super rare 1981 limited edition (available by subscription) Houses of Britain Heraldic Chess set. There were 2500 of these made. It comes with the original certification and pamphlet.

(those show plenty of wear) The set itself is pristine, the board looks like it served as a table. It is still very handsome and serviceable.

Everything is tight and clean with the interior of the cabinet and the box as a whole. Just a bit of wear to board surface which was not so easy to capture in photographs because the marks are small and not obvious from a couple of feet away. Gold and Silver plated pieces with all the Heraldic Shields of the Royals Houses.
