Roberts Birds Sterling Silver Art Medals. This is a poof quality set of 25 Franklin Mint - Gilroy Roberts sterling silver art medals numbers 1 - 25. Each coin represents a beautiful bird, and each come with a booklet describing the specific bird. Gilroy Roberts, creator of Roberts Birds, is recognized internationally as the dean of American medallic art.

He has also created coins for a variety of countries. Each coin weighs 1000 grains or 2.08 oz. The total weight of the coins is approximately 52 oz.

Each coin measure approximately 51 mm in diameter. The coins are marked Sterling on the edge, and the name of the bird, number, and date is inscribed on the back. The coins are encapsulated in individual plastic cases, and still in proof like condition with minor toning on edges of some medals. Some of the plastic cases are cracked, chipped, damaged.

All 25 medals come with the dated Certificate of Authenticity that is included in the booklets that describe each bird. The set of medals was obtained from the local estate of Col. Anderson who was an avid collector of Franklin Mint sterling silver medals and coins through many years.
