Sinnock created a new design in 1948 to replace the Walking Liberty design. That new design, the Franklin half dollar, was a right facing portrait of Benjamin Franklin on the obverse with the inscriptions LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and the date. The reverse features the Liberty Bell with the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, HALF DOLLAR, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and a small eagle to the right of the Bell. Mintmarks will be located just above the Bell for specific dates. When these coins were first minted each weighed. Today each lot will weigh slightly different due to years of circulation. Boxes or APO/FPO at this time. Please note that with our dynamically priced items the spot price will be updated at a minimum every 10 minutes.
